Walk, Run & Cycle times are OS Estimates

The third walk on our short camping holiday at Low Wray Campsite on Lake Windermere.  Having done 2 walks on previous days Hilary decided not to join Sophie and I on this dash up Castle Crag.  Hilary, though could drop me off at Grange and pick me up at Rosthwaite which enables for a change a straight line walk.

The inital walk is along the flat of the River Derwent.

Before a short sharp climb upto the top.

It’s a short walk and climb up, however this is mitigated by the views from the top.  To cap it all Castle Crag ticks off the final peak of the North Western Fells.

The destination of Rosthwaite is seen in the distance with the attraction of a cup of tea and teacake at the local cafe.
