Jet and I head to the Top of Kirkstone Pass to tick off 4 more of the Eastern Fells. From the car park it is a straight up climb to the first hill, Red Screes. On the way up we get views back over our shoulder down the pass to Windermere.
From Red Screes we can see the next destination so follow the ridge line around to Middle Dodd. The view of Brothers Water is going to be a familiar one for much of the walk.
The route to Little Hart Crag doubles back to pick up the path that would lead to Dove Crag. One for another day.
High Hartsop Dodd our final hill for the day is reached by just continuing down to a rather small cairn. Jet strikes a fine pose.
The return drops us down to the level of Brothers Water before we turn round and head along the side of Kirkstone Beck. The final stretch is the climb up to The Kirkstone Pass Inn and a welcoming pint.
