Walk, Run & Cycle times are OS Estimates

Tackling the Coniston Round today in hope that the wet weather stays away.  After the stream the path from Consiton goes up through the famous mine remains.

Whilst on the way up remembering to look behind at the Coniston Water expanse.

Passing by Low Water

The top of The Old Man, gives a superb vista of the next peak, Dow Crag and the Duddon Sands.

The route to Dow crag is fairly obvious and once there, again as expected The Old Man stands out.

Its a simple route to back upto Brim Fell on the ridge towards Swirl How

Swirl How is quickly followed by Grey Friar and Great Carrs

It is then a dash to try and beat the rain.  On reaching Wetheram the drizzle turned into persistent rain and I reached Coniston pretty damp.
