Off again with Jet, onto a set of Hills off the east side of Ulswater, parking at Howtown not quite at the end of the road. The first hill is up to Hallin Fell with its lovely views of Ulswater.
From Hallin Fell, one drops down again to the Howe Grain valley and along Martindale ascending Steel Knots.
It’s then a hike onto High Street and peak of Wether Hill before going along the ridge to Loadpot Hill.
The route then continues along High Street before veering off to Arthur’s Pike.
The last hill is along the ridge to Bonscale Pike, with great lake views.
